Jamaican music and Bob Marley continues to shine and be impactful globally, Marvel Studios unveiled the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Sunday.
The first trailer for the highly anticipated film features Nigerian queen of soul Tems performing Bob Marley's "No Woman, No Cry."
This comes after the musician stated that if given a chance, she would remix 'No Woman No Cry' and "Is This Love."
She stated this during an interview at the 2022 Billboard Honours when she received two awards.
Tem's rendition of Bob Marley's song is a melancholy tune that plays over the two-minute video.
The film is a sequel to the universally acclaimed 2018 film Black Panther, in which the late actor Chadwick Boseman appeared.
Boseman, who played the primary character T'Challa, died in August 2020 after a four-year struggle with colorectal cancer.
The sequel trailer appears to chronicle events following T'Challa's (Black Panther) death, which Marvel elected not to recast out of respect and affection for Chadwick Boseman.
