Ivorian reggae singer and international recording artist Alpha Blondy joins forces with Ghanaian reggae dancehall star Stonebwoy on his new song entitled 'Power of Love'. The track is in tribute to African unity and lauds the contribution of luminaries such as Patrice Lumumba, Marcus Garvey and Kwame Nkrumah.
'Power of Love' is a joyful, sensuous, and strong song announcing the debut of 'Eternity', an album with some massive features, amazing beats, and powerful themes.
Alpha Blondy is one of the most well-known reggae performers in the world. Blondy delivers a reggae sound with a unique African flavour with his 12-piece ensemble Solar System. Blondy, who refers to himself as an African Rasta, writes Jah-centered anthems that promote morality, love, peace, and social awareness. He has recorded in Jamaica at the famous Tuff Gong Studio with the legendary Wailers.
Blondy's music empathizes with the poor and people on the margins of society, with a spectrum that ranges from sympathy to wrath over injustice. Blondy is also a firm believer in African unification, and to that purpose, he sings in Hebrew to Muslim audiences and in Arabic to Israelis. 'Cocody Rock', 'Jerusalem,' and 'Apartheid Is Nazism' are some of his most well-known tunes.
