More than 40 stars kick off a lineup that highlights the idiosyncratic trip across the global reggae scene that the massive cultural event embarks on each year, entrenched, as always, in a broad range of melodic sounds.
Barrington Levy, Capleton, Kabaka Pyramid, Junior Marvin & The Legendary Wailers, Don Carlos, Anthony B, Lila Iké, Mutabaruka, and the Inna de Yard collective kick off the voyage in Jamaica with nine sets for the Main Stage. It continues through Africa with Nigeria's Yemi Alade and Ivory's Tiken Jah Fakoly, and then to Europe with the renowned British band Steel Pulse, France's L'Entourloop and Biga*Ranx, and Spain's Zoo.
Lion Stage, as usual, innovates with fifteen debuts, including Dub Fx from Australia, Vandal from the UK, Gultrah Sound System from Tunisia, and Geo & The Upright Ones from Jamaica (following in the footsteps of his father, Don Carlos). Lady Lykez and Freddie Krueger lead the first Dancehall immersion, while the Dub Academy joins the mix with Scientist Sound & Friends and Channel One from the UK.
