New Music from OMI

Multi-platinum Jamaican artist OMI drops another speaker-bumping, reggae-popping summer vibing song. His new single, "T.M.I." (Too Much Information), is one of those songs that takes you back to the roots of Folklore and the art of storytelling.

The song's intro features the pleading voice of a female calling 911 to report a disturbance next door. From the groove and the plot twist to the play on words, the listeners will hit play on repeat.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, OMI chuckled and shared, "Too Much Information, ha! "T.M.I," like most of my ideas, came to me like 3 a.m

in the morning.

I had to get out a bed and lay the concept down with my piano and voice recorder. I then called up one of our resident producers and was like, Yo Lex! I got this idea I wanna knockout and in true Lex fashion, he replied, me ready!"

Songs like "T.M.I" is actually how I originally started out writing, and I think it's good to get back to basics every now and then; the creative mind must remain fluid, enuh. I really hope my fans enjoy this one. Another one for the playlist and much more to come."

OMI established himself as an international artist to watch with a series of viral releases, including his world-renowned track "Cheerleader," which lasted six nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, went 5x Platinum, and accumulated over 5 million Spotify weekly listens.
