HIRIE x Spragga Benz = I Miss You

Introducing a dynamic Hawaii-based reggae singer Hirie, the songstress was raised as a global citizen; Hire was born in the Philippines, lived in Italy for a while, and then her family moved to Hawaii, which she later regarded as her spiritual home.

From the Filipino heritage of her birthplace to the sunny reggae and native sounds of her adopted home, she felt a strong connection to island music. Hirie fell in love with reggae music while living in Hawaii, and she was a perfect fit for the community. This connection influenced the bright, laid-back pop of her self-titled debut album in 2013.

Her latest single is titled "I Miss You", and she continues her vibrant strain of reggae pop, sometimes called island pop.

For "I Miss You," Hirie and Spragga Benz joins forces; the dancehall song was created by an all-star group of producers, including Ricky Blaze (Gypsy, Major Lazer) and Lmr Pro (Kranium).

This is the first song from Hirie's next, as-yet-untitled album, which will be released later this year on the indie Oakland label Ineffable Records.
