Dancehall artist Badda General drops a new single 'Check the Fresh' for leading reggae dancehall music company Platinum Camp Records. According to CEO and Grammy-nominated producer Daddy Biggs, 'Check the Fresh' is not only a song it is a lifestyle". Influenced by an urban slang, ‘Check the Fresh’ is a new cutting edge sound for dancehall that works well with Badda General's cheeky dark sense of humour.
Mr Biggs also noted, 'Check the Fresh' happened organically. The heavens opened up as I got out of a long shower. I was super clean, the energy and the vibes perfectly aligned. Then it hit me like a bolt of lightning 'Check the Fresh'.
'I began to use the term on social media, and it went viral. Badda General reached out to me, and he thought it would be an excellent idea to capture it in a song. We immediately got to work at Badda Generals studio and overnight a hit was born. The upbeat, high energy creation celebrates the lifestyles of Jamaican urban culture.
It reminds us of the sharp sense of style that is synonymous with reggae dancehall culture appearance.' Mr noted.
Florida based Badda General went on to state ’In the new era of trap dancehall, we do not want to trap dancehall. We want to revitalize the old sound and remind everyone how awesome classic dancehall is.’ ’ The song is quickly getting attention and has made several playlists globally.
'Check the Fresh' is available on all digital music platforms.
