Bad Bunny Continues to Dominate Spotify

Reggaeton superstar Bad Bunny continues to dominate Spotify by setting new records in streaming, underscoring the power of Latin music. For the second year in a row, Bad Bunny was the most-streamed artist on Spotify at the end of 2021. 


Bad Bunny's fifth studio album, Un Verano Sin Ti, released on May 6, has also been verified as Spotify's most-streamed album in 2022 thus far.

Within 24 hours, he had 183 million Spotify streams.


According to Spotify, Drake had previously held the record with 176.8 million streams in a single day.

Bad Bunny's success is another encouraging indicator for the Latin music industry, which is expected to have a record-breaking year in 2022.


According to musicbusinessworldwide.com, Karol G, a reggaeton artist, was the most-viewed artist on Vevo in 2021.

In 2021, the Colombian singer received 3.11 billion views on the platform, just edging out The Weeknd, who received 3.10 billion views.
